Each city, village in Nagano prefecture is typical country side area. There are only few chances to see new people and to find something new. Especially for the people from outside of Nagano, it maybe difficult to fit to local culture or people. So, we would offer you an opportunity to enjoy Nagano life by the language exchange meetup.

Story
In May 21, 2022, we have started this meetup.
The meetup style is almost same as that I experienced in Los Angeles.
We expect to create new community which people gather with many background even in country side of Japan.
History
5.21.2022
1st Language meetup
The first meetup was held at Shinkoji cafe on May 21st, 2022.
We tried to start it by just two men, Kei and Daniel, so we were so worried how many people would come. Surprisingly, over 20 participants came to the venue. We never expected that situation in good way.
October, 2022
Instagram account launch
To reach more people, we created a new Instagram account for language exchange. We started announcing event information, meetup schedule and more by SNS.
December, 2022
Holiday party
We had a Christmas party at new venue near by Nagano St.
It's Mash cafe and beds which has restaurant diner and dormitory and rooms for staying visitors. We expected visitors who stayed there also join the party, then some people joined us and had fun!
April, 2023
Spring BBQ party
Long cold winter season has been ended, then BBQ season has come on April. We prepared meats, drinks, snacks and equipment. We enjoyed meals and socializing at Kawanakajima old battle field park.
May, 2023
1st Anniversary
Language Exchange meetup once or twice a month has been continued for a year. Participants got 1 slice of free pizza for the cerebration of 1st Anniversary.
Do you want to join us as a staff?
We are always looking for volunteer staff who can help the regular meetup, seasonal events and some more. Japanese or Foreigner? It doesn't a matter.
